The Infected Horde is an event in which tests the strength and endurance of the alliance as a whole.

The alliance leader can start it by manually activating the horde alarm when the alliance is ready, or pre-set a time so that the system will automatically activate the horde. The Alliance members will receive a mail when the alliance leader (R4/5) sets the auto time and when the event starts. After each wave, players who are still participating will receive a battle report.

Event duration: 40 minutes, 20 waves

Do note that all states are now using the new horde mechanism where your alliance member's points won't be reduced when you reinforce them. If your alliance member has 0 troops in their base and you send in a full reinforcement, given that defense is successful, your alliance member will get 100% of the point and you will get a max 50%, yielding 150% of the point for your alliance score.

The alliance territory will be surrounded by the infected horde. As soon as that happens, timer will start and consecutive waves of increasing difficulty infected will be spawned.

"The wave of infected" means that a bunch of infected will be spawned near the border of the alliance HQ and they will be ordered to rally towards every alliance settlement.

Standard settlement defense rules are applied. When you are attacked, heal the wounded, when you feel that you are strong enough or your settlement is on fire, send reinforcement to the allies.

With each wave of infected defeated, the next higher level wave will spawn in an increased timeframe, giving you more time to heal wounded and prepare for the next wave.

After 20min, 10 waves will have spawned already. You will be participating in the event regardless of if you are online or offline. The event finishes when your defending army in your settlement can't hold the front line and kill more than half of the intruders.

Conditions[]

If the percentage of the Infected Horde killed is less than 50%, the defense is considered a failure, and your settlement will burn. The Infected horde will stop launching waves at your settlement when your settlement has failed the defense twice.

For each successful defense, you get a score depending on how many units you managed to defeat. When you lose your settlement will burn and you need to ask your stronger alliance mates to send in reinforcements so you can survive the next wave. Your alliance HQ gets attacked in hordes 10 and 20, ensure that it's reinforced properly.

Do note that, this is a PvE event, hence when your settlement burns, you will not have full hospital or lose any troops, only a very small percentage of your troops will be wounded.

Attackers[]

Infected-horde-snap1

16th level settlements should have enough troop power to withstand first 13 waves, 18th level settlement could survive 17th wave, but to withstand more, you will need to be higher than 25th level settlement.

Horde masters (hordes 7, 14 and 17) do not attack every member, but they yield much more points. As soon as those wave starts, if you reinforce your ally who is being targeted by the master you can get more points.

Below are the Charts of Troops and Points according to Difficulty:

Notes:

  • If you have wounded troops during the horde attack, use the time between waves to heal them up at your hospital.
  • If you "burn" a second time, you will no longer be attacked - go and reinforce your allies that are still alive.
  • Horde masters are spawned only qty 15, they will attack random members of alliance.
  • Horde overlords are spawned only qty 1, they will attack the Alliance HQ - reinforce it.
  • Attack power is what counts against horde masters and overlords, so avoid reinforcing with infantry as their purpose is to defend, not attack.
  • If your army troop tier is lower than attackers troop tier, you can expect defeat. If you have a HQ of level 20 and highest tier troops, you should expect no problems until the 15th wave.
  • Avoid making rallies between the waves if you are a low level or have a small number of troops available, as you might not get back in time to defend.
  • If you reinforce, you get points for the kills your troops perform - victory points are split between all defenders accordingly.

Example shout-outs to the alliance[]

When next wave is "Lv. 7 Horde Master", 3657 troops of tier 4. They will attack only 15 of us. Watch when they spawn - if you are not attacked, go quickly and reinforce closest one to you that is being attacked - you will get bonus score.

Before wave 10

When wave is "Lv. 10 Horde Overlord", 7323 troops of tier 5. They will attack only the HQ. You have to reinforce only with tier 5 troops or higher, don't crowd the HQ with too many troops, ONLY send infantry. We have 5 minutes to prepare.

Rewards[]

You get ranking as a solo player and the alliance gets scored as a whole - the more people are in the alliance, the longer they survive, the more points they bring for the alliance. Individual rewards depend on the ranking and score you have reached, you can check them out in the event page. You can earn alliance honor, funds, basic resources and Chief Gear Materials

Rewards are given at 12 UTC the day after the event, but you won't receive the rewards if you leave the alliance. Make sure you check your "Rewards stash" from within "Events Billboard" building inside your settlement for the rewards.
