When you first enter the game you will be inside your settlement. Before you can enter the wilderness for the first time you must build your intel post as part of Chapter 1 - Part 2 of the story chapters. Once the intel post is unlocked you will be able to enter the wilderness freely using the Wilderness button at the bottom left of the screen.
[]
Now that you've unlocked the intel post, lets take a look at the many new things that await you in the Wilderness and where you can find them!
Infected & Infected Fiends []
You've entered the wilderness only to find it has been over run with Infected and Infected Fiends! Help clear the infected by killing them! The Infected fiends are much stronger than the regular infected, so partner up with some allies and rally together to defeat them!Resources []
Resources are vital for Chiefs to develop; needed for everything from upgrading your settlement to training and healing troops! There are plenty of ways to get Resources across the game however one of the most important is through gathering Resource Tiles.
There are four different types of resource you can gather:
Food
Wood
Metal
Gas
For more information on these different tiles check out our Gathering full guide.
Alliance Resource Farms[]
Newer states will also see a number of Alliance Resource buildings on the map - again Food, Wood, Metal & Gas buildings which can be clamined by the alliance by placing Alliance towers connecting these buildings to the alliance territory. they provide the alliance with resources to further Alliance Research & technology.
Alliance Buildings []
There are a number of Alliance Buildings you will see when you enter into the Wilderness. Let's take a look at how you can interact with them and what they do!
Settlements[]
Not only will you be able to view your own settlement but also the settlements of all others Chiefs in your state! Once you join an alliance you can port your settlement within the territory of that alliance alongside all your other alliance members using an Alliance Relocator or from here you can launch an attack on those from outside your alliance.
Alliance HQ[]
The Alliance HQ is your main alliance building which can be garrisoned during events like Infected Horde for additional points. The alliance HQ can also be garrisoned should it fall under attack and the HQs of other alliances can be targeted in the same way.
Influencer Trap[]
The Influencer trap is typically located in the heart of the alliance and can be opened every 48 hours - the Alliance Leader will usually select a time and schedule for this and the alliance must work together to Rally the Influencer to obtain rewards including items such as Hero Gear parts.
The Colosseum[]
The Colosseum is a building required in order for Chiefs to take part in Flash Duels - Every Monday and Tuesday this building will be available for all Chiefs to open a variety of levels of monster to attack in order to obtain rewards.
Alliance Towers[]
Alliance Towers are used to mark out the boundaries of an alliance territory; like the Alliance HQ these can be garrisoned in the event of an attack or indeed attacked in order to take over territory of a rival alliance by destroying them and placing your own.
Alliance Statues[]
There are 4 different statues that can be obtained and placed within your alliance territory - each one providing a buff to the alliance. the appearance of these statues may change depending on the level of achievement your alliance has unlocked. For example the higher you progress within the Reservoir League or your ranking in Alliance Showdown will determine which statue is available to your alliance. These statues can be demolished and used to hold places within the alliance. Here are just some of the statues you might find:
Special Event Buildings []
There are several special buildings you will come across that can only be interacted with for during certain events. To secure these buildings you and your alliance will need to work together to defeat the Gigacorp forces and battle against other chiefs!Analysis Centres[]
Analysis Centers are buildings that can be fought for by alliances that border their territory in order to gain buffs and secure reward crates. These only currently exist in 'newer states' and Analysis Centers are divided into 8 types and 4 levels. Each category has a specific benefit, each level has a different percentage of the benefit.
Capital Grounds[]
The Capital building and it's surrounding towers can be fought for bi-weekly on a Saturday during the Capital Clash event in order to secure the role of Governor. A full guide to this event can be seen at Capital Clash Guide.
Bunkers and Fortresses[]
Bunkers & Fortresses can be battled for as part of Fortress Fight which occurs every Friday. Each Building gives a different reward and has to be registered for in advance in order to fight for it on the day.
